In John 1:12 God says "as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God." If you are ready to receive Jesus right now and you have never done that before, you need to:
A - Admit to God that you have sinned B - Believe that Jesus Died for your sin and rose again C - Choose Jesus You might say something like this: "Dear Jesus, I am sorry for all the wrong things I have done. Thank you for dying on the cross for me. Will you please come into my life and make me your child? If you just asked Jesus to make you his child and forgive you for your sin (and you meant it) you can be sure that God kept His promise and has made you His child like He said He would in John 1:12 "As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God." Did you just receive Jesus into your life? Yes, Then God promised He would make you His child! God also gives you another promise in the Bible to those who have received Him. Jesus says in Hebrews 13:5b "'I will never leave you nor forsake you.' So we may boldly say 'The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?'" God is now your helper to do what is right. You can talk to Him anytime and He will listen. If You do sin, God wants you to confess you sin to Him, or tell on yourself to God. He promises to clean you from all sin, so you can be close to Him! Now that you are a child of God He wants you to get to know Him better. You can do this by: 1. Reading your Bible each day 2. Pray each day (you can talk to God anytime) 3. Go to church and Sunday School each week 4. Tell others about Jesus What happens if you sin again, do you have to receive Jesus into your life again? No, remember He said "I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU!" But in 1 John 1:9 God tells us "If we confess our sin He is faithful and just to forgive us our sin."
When you do something wrong, you need to tell God about it, then remember He is your helper to do what is right, so ask Him to help you choose to do what is right
