Look at Job 40:15-19 "Look now at the behemoth, which I made along with you; He eats grass like an ox. See now, his strength is in his hips, And his power is in his stomach muscles. He moves his tail like a cedar; The sinews of his thighs are tightly knit. His bones are like beams of bronze, His ribs like bars of iron. He is the first of the ways of God; Only He who made him can bring near His sword.
God describes an animal named behemoth to Job to show how great and strong He is. Some people say this animal is an elephant or a hippo. But look at the description and see if it fits either of these animals. .
Verse 15 he says it eats grass - it is an herbavore or plant eater
verse 16 says he has powerful legs and a huge stomach
So far the description fits either of the animals, but look at verse 17.
Verse 17 He moves his tail like a cedar? An elephant has a tail like a fly swatter and a hippo has almost no tail at all! But a Brachiosaurus or one of the other Sauropods (long neck dinosaurs) has a tail that sways like a huge tree.
Verse 18 says he has very strong bones
Verse 19 says he is the largest (that what first means here) of the land animals God created!
